If you asked my my favorite ice cream growing up, it was always “vanilla with sprinkles”
Vanilla is the best flavor in the world (in my strong opinion)
So when I learned I could make my own vanilla extract, it was a no-brainer.
I started my first extract the beginning of 2021 and gave it all away as Christmas gifts that year. It was so fun and so many loved it!
But I realized I didn’t have much leftover for me… after a year of waiting that was a rough realization.
So now I start a new batch about once a quarter to ensure I never run out again.
It’s the easiest homestead-y thing you can do (aside from the wait) and was one of the catalysts into this lifestyle for me.
Making your own is better on ALL levels.
I held my first workshop yesterday and it was a blast! I love sharing my knowledge and experience. It was the first of many to come.
