Oils for Immune Support

(Just remember, I’m not a healthcare professional and these claims are not meant to diagnose or treat… you know the drill. I’m speaking from experience and what has worked for me and my fam)


Before I talk oils, I just want to cover the other natural bases like sunshine, being outside, moving your body, hydration, good sleep, and mindfulness practices to reduce stress.


There are a plethora of simple and natural things you can do to help your body function optimally. So don’t forget to tap into those too!


But now OILS! (ps. Essential oils can help with so many of the things I just mentioned.)

There is a whole line of products to make supporting your immune response so simple. Cleaning products, toothpaste, mouthwash, hand soap and sanitizing mist, wipes… the works!

All with the intention of using natural toxin free products while getting little bits of On Guard throughout your day.


You can diffuse On Guard as well for aromatherapy. It smells amazing during changing seasons when sickness seems to spike and any time you notice someone in your home feeling a little unwell.


One of my favorite ways to use On Guard is in the blend called FLOOT.

The letters stand for Frankincense, Lemon, On Guard, Oregano, and Tea Tree.


This is one of the first DIY blends I suggest people make because it uses oils from the top 10 that are in almost all the starter bundles, and are staple oils for so many benefits.


To make FLOOT in a 10ml roller, add 5 drops each of Frankincense and Oregano and 10 drops each of Lemon, On Guard, and Tea Tree and fill with fractionated coconut oil.





You can use this daily, or several times a day as needed. For babies, my only change is removing the Oregano.


Another blend I love is already done for you! Stronger from the Kids Collection is a great option for kids and babies, but also adults too. It has other great immune supporting oils, but they are more gentle - like rose.


When you really need to amp up your support, I can’t speak more highly of Oregano.

It packs a bunch.


Of course you have Oregano in the FLOOT blend, but adding it (diluted) to your feet at night can be super helpful. I have kicked so many colds quickly by using Oregano (compared to my husband who didn’t)


And bringing it back to what I mentioned in the beginning - moving your body, hydration, good sleep, and mindfulness practices - try these oils to help these areas as well.


Remember, everything is connected so little shifts can create big changes.


  • Moving your body: Deep Blue for aches and inflammation

  • Hydration: Adding citrus oils can naturally help your body release toxins while helping you drink more if you love flavored drinks

  • Sleep: Serenity, Vetiver, Cedarwood, Juniper Berry, and Copaiba are my top favorites. I have a Sleep Tight Blend that I’ve used for my kids since my oldest was 6 months.

  • Mindfulness Practices: Frankincense and Balance are 2 of my favorites during breathwork and meditation. But find oils that you love. What smells so good to you? Use that!
